How to View Your Current iOS Version on an iPhone 11

Apple releases new versions of iOS with some frequency, and these updates usually include fixes to existing problems, as well as new features.

Any new iOS update is identified with a red circle on your Settings app. If the app doesn’t load directly to the Software Update page when you tap it, then you can navigate there manually by going to Settings > General > Software Update.

But if you aren’t looking to install a new iOS update, but simply want to know what versions of iOS is on your iPhone, then you may be wondering how.

How to Find Your iOS Version

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Choose General.
  3. Select About.
  4. Find your iOS version next to Software Version.

This method has been very similar for several versions of iOS, so the exact method for locating your iOS version won’t differ very much even if you are using an older iPhone model.
